Decent scan and a tip
A few crooked pages-usually the second of 2 facing pages but they look better when viewed as single pages.
I haven't seen any of Wanda Gág’s books in years so it's nice to take note of the plot holes, stereotypes, and early internet cat foreshadowing. Notice the attractive, smooth-skinned “old” woman and old man and why they're not happy. Anyone who was a practical child will recognize a feeling they may have had from Disney’s 101 Dalmatians but here’s a shocking interpretation of the action.
Regarding the VIDEO only:
There's an English language video of the book- it's the book read with no additions, not abridged.
When I was young I expected more from videos based on books - How dare they do no more than I could do myself‽ I was an early and voracious reader so I expected a lot from everything related to reading.
This would have disappointed me when my children were young because the text wasn't included, like in Lavar Burton's Reading Rainbow. It didn't bother my girls; they were more interested in the quality of the reading.
10 minutes VIDEO running time
It was my serendipitous find but try searching Internet Archive Videos for the author, title, or Morton Schindel (narrator?)
